Satellite images showing quake destruction in Japan
The extent of the destruction caused by the biggest earthquake on record to hit Japan has been revealed. Thousands of people were left dead or missing after the tremor triggered a tsunami that swept through cities, towns and villages.
The above images show how the city of Natori, Miyagi prefecture, looked before and after the quake and resulting tsunami.
