Death threat loomed over two abducted boys from Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh, when the kidnappers sent a parcel containing four fingers to their families.

Gaurav Kumar, 21 and his cousin Rajat Kumar were kidnapped on September 15 when they went out to the market to buy milk.

Their motorbike was found in a field at Jahanpur village, near the Uttar Pradesh-Rajasthan border the next day.

Their families received the ransom call few days later. The abductors demanded the  ransom money of one crore.

When the families expressed inability to pay such hefty amount, the abductors agreed to scale down the ransom money and the negotiation over the phone went on for over a month.

The families then received the abductors' call on october 19, who asked them to pick up a packet from a nearby graveyard.

The families informed the police about this call, which found four human fingers inside the packet.

The police asked Agra Chief Medical Officer Rajesh Kumar to examine the fingers.

Dr Kumar sent the fingers to SN Medical College. The forensic expert Dr Ajay Agarwal examined the fingers and concluded that the fingers belonged to adults.

Dr Agarwal added that it could not be ascertained whether the fingers belonged to living or dead people.

Dr Kumar has taken the permission to send the fingers fro DNA test to find out if the fingers belong to kidnapped boys.

Meanwhile, the families of both the boys still believe that the fingers do not belong to their chidren. They suspect it to be a pressure tacttic.
