JERUSALEM, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday warned the international community that Iran's nuclear ambitions endanger "the peace of the entire world."
Netanyahu called on all nations to stop "Iran's race for nuclear weapons," after being briefed at the weekly cabinet session on a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) on Iran's nuclear program.
The UN nuclear watchdog released the report on Tuesday, detailing the clandestine efforts by Iran to build and test nuclear weapons.
The prime minister called the report "comprehensive" and said that it "strengthens the claims by leading countries in the world and Israel that Iran is systematically developing nuclear weapons. "
Netanyahu also asked other nations to examine the document carefully, especially after the IAEA showed new evidences, such as letters and satellite images, that suggest Iran's nuclear weapon race.
"Any responsible government in the world needs to draw the obvious conclusions from the IAEA report," he said during the cabinet's meeting.
"The international community must stop Iran's race to arm itself with nuclear weapons, a race that endangers the peace of the entire world," Netanyahu said.
Iran's government, however, has hotly dismissed the report, claiming that it is biased, and accused the IAEA of being a " puppet" of the United States.......Editor: yan
