6 NATO Troops Die in Insurgent Attack

NATO says six of its servicemembers were killed Sunday in an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan.
The alliance did not give any further details.
NATO also said Sunday its security forces killed two insurgents Saturday, including a Taliban leader, in eastern Afghanistan.
Elsewhere, the alliance said Afghan and coalition forces killed an armed insurgent and detained five suspected insurgents during a search for a high-ranking Movement of Uzbekistan senior leader in Kunduz province.
In Nangarhar province, Afghan and coalition forces killed one insurgent and detained 10 suspected insurgents while targeting a Taliban shadow governor.
