25 injured as train derails in MP

Bhopal: At least 25 people were injured, five of them critical, when seven coaches of a passenger train derailed near Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh.

The seven coaches of the Mumbai-Lucknow Udhyog Nagari Express derailed at around 6.22 am on Monday morning.
CB Singh, district magistrate, Vidisha told Zee News that of the seven bogies, two were sleeper coaches and five general, one of which was a brake van.

He confirmed reports that some of the derailed bogies slided down upto 15 feet as the railway track was at a height at the site of the accident.
Singh said relief and rescue operations are underway, adding the injured have already been shifted from the accident site in a relief train.
