32-year-old sex offender arrested for rape of 75-year-old woman in Bronx

Marcos Cuevas, 32, a Level 3 (high-risk) sex offender busted for two rapes in 1996, struck again about 3:50 p.m. Sunday in an apartment in the vicinity of Minford Place in Crotona Park East, police said.A convicted sex offender was arrested Sunday night for raping a 75-year-old woman in the Bronx, police said Monday.
His victim was the 75-year-old daughter of a woman whom his mother was caring for as a home health aide.
Cuevas lured the woman into a 76-year-old female neighbor's apartment, police said. He tied up both women, and raped the 75-year-old.
He then robbed them and fled. The rape victim was taken by ambulance to Lincoln Hospital, where she was in stable condition, police said.
Cops tracked Cuevas down and collared him on E. 41st St. in Manhattan last night, police said.
He was charged with rape, robbery, sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment, and was expected to be arraigned later Monday.
