China launches SinoSat-6 Satellite |

China has successfully launched a new satellite SinoSat-6 to improve television and radio broadcasting signals in the country. SinoSat-6 is a backup for SinoSat-3 which was launched on June 1, 2007. The satellite was launched by 180-foot-tall Long March 3B carrier rocket. SinoSat-6 has a life of 15 years and will be operated by China Satellite Communications Corp. It will be used for TV and radio live broadcast signals which improve the signals for people living in remote and mountainous regions. (Breaking News Online) |
