Principal in porno shock as Moscow school burns

Charred rubber dildos and DVDs of gay porn greeted firefighters who put out a blaze at a Moscow school.
And it soon emerged that the kinky sex toys were found in the principal’s secret office – a “relaxation room” which staff say he alone had access to.
Staff at School 1561 on Novoyasenevsky Prospekt, to the south of the city, had little to say about the shocking find, with Yury Zavalsky, 59, the teacher at the heart of the scandal, unavailable for comment.
One of Zavalsky’s deputies, who did not give her name, told The Moscow News: “We didn’t have access to the site until the fire was completely put out, so I don’t know what was found there.
“I only know that our pupils [who live nearby] took some pictures of what was left.”
 Porn DVDs
Those pictures clearly showed the remains of DVDs with titles such as “Strong men in leather” and “Bali: initiation into adulthood”, and sex toys including an inflatable doll and a vibrator.
And finding an authority figure caught with his pants down could have a scarring effect on the 13-17-year-old pupils at the school, experts fear.
Nikolai Zakharchenko, a psychologist with the Moscow school of hypnosis said: “For kids, the head teacher is the biggest authority in their lives and of course they look up to him or her.
“Then, if pornography is found in his office, of course it’s a psychological shock for them.
“They are told it’s wrong and then see it being used by the head. It gives kids the wrong idea about life.”
 Elitist
The shock at School 1561 is perhaps greater than elsewhere: the school had a strong academic reputation, offering training in three languages and several unique educational programmes created by Zavalsky.
Now he faces the prospect of his career turning to ashes.
“It will be such a fuss,” he told Lifenews. “I could be accused of paedophilia. In fact, for what was found there I could face a criminal investigation and be forever deprived of the opportunity to work with children.”
Zavalsky said that the offending materials were not his, but had been brought to the school by his nephew – a defence which did little to impress Pavel Astakhov, Russia’s ombudsman for children’s rights.
“He knew about it, so he is to blame,” Astakhov said. “It shows that he was not competent and cannot work with children.”
No case – yet
At the moment, though, no criminal case has been opened against the principal.
Marina Molokova, of the area’s police service, said: “We are looking into it right now but until we have a complaint from the children or the parents we will not open a case.
“Perhaps the local education authorities will punish him somehow, but for now this is not a criminal case.” (the moscow news)
