Sikhism has its origins in India which is considered to be the home to different religions found in the present day. It derives most of its customs from the Hinduism which is the prime religion of India. Sikhism is a special type of religion where the follower is required to wear a turban which is again dictated basing on several parameters in the community. Different people in the Sikh community wear different types of turbans. While some wear smaller sized turbans some funny people prefer to wear larger sized turbans along with sword. This act is an important custom in the sikh community and considered to be a mandatory act amongst the boys of the community. There are stories in the community which speak about the importance of turbans and swords. Though the roots are present in India, the purpose for which this religion was born is different when compared to the prime religion of India.
