Two Asteroids to Pass Near Earth Today

Duck! Okay, not really.
Two asteroids are set to pass Earth, within about the moon's distance from us, today, according to a NASA statement. The asteroids are unrelated and are in two separate orbits. The first will pass closest to Earth near the northern Pacific Ocean, and the second will pass closest to Antarctica.
Amateur astronomers, take heart — the asteroids can be seen with moderate-sized telescopes. CNN reports that through a telescope, they will look like tiny specks of light.
