Contraceptive Procedure for Women

Easy and Speedy Contraceptive Procedure for Women

Easy and Speedy Contraceptive Procedure for Women
The Cadogan Clinic has started providing a contraceptive procedure for women in the country, which it asserts that is one of its own kinds across the whole nation.

The ten-minute `walk in, walk out' service is called as Essure, in which the fallopian tubes of women are plugged. It involves no scars and the patient can recuperate within 45 minutes i. e. soon after the procedure they can go to their work or home. Also, little or no post-surgical pain is associated with the surgery.

Women can undergo such a clinical procedure without telling their partners as in some cases they don't want so and in others they are afraid to tell the news of their pregnancy to their partners, as told by Martin Farrugia, a gynaecologist for the clinic in Knightsbridge.

He said, "Essure has been a popular permanent contraception option for several years through the NHS but I'm already seeing patients who want to have the procedure at a time and place convenient to them".

The procedure involves putting two metal coils into the fallopian tubes through the vagina and in three months, tissue start growing around the coils, which help in plugging the tubes. The surgery costs £2,700.  (topnews.us)
