==============================
Hillary Clinton will arrive in Burma today, becoming the first US secretary of state to visit the country in 50 years.
Ms Clinton will arrive in the administrative capital Naypyitaw this afternoon and will meet Burmese president Thein Sein and government ministers tomorrow.
She will then fly to Rangoon to meet with opposition leader and democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.
The two-day visit reflects the sudden appearance of progress in Burma, where some political prisoners have been released and the government is promising a shift to democracy.
However more prisoners of conscience remain in jail and a brutal ethnic border war continues.
A number of journalists have been allowed to enter Burma to cover the visit.
