8 Naxals killed in encounter

Eight Naxals were killed by the police in an encounter in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday, officials said.
Two policemen were also injured, Inspector General of Police R K Vij told PTI.
The encounter took place near village Parsipali about 150 km from Raipur where a joint team of Special Task Force and District police was sent after receiving reports of Naxal movement there.
The outlaws fired at the police team and in the retaliatory fire, eight Naxals were killed. Two policemen were also injured in the incident, he said.
The bodies of the eight Naxals were recovered as also weapons like rifles and guns carried by them
