LAND O'LAKES — Producers of a proposed all-nude reality television show plan to stream next month's auditions live over the Internet.
Atlantic Overseas Pictures Inc. said it made the decision due to the overwhelming response from the media, networks and aspiring cast to the new nude reality TV show Nak'd Truth, which will feature the adventures of seven young adults who agree to spend a month in the buff at Caliente Resort & Spa in Pasco County.
The audience also will get to vote on who they'd like to see on the show when the auditions take place Nov. 13 and 14 at the resort.
All interviews for cast roles will be broadcast live from the pool deck.
During the cast selection, candidates will be asked to take off their clothes, but the Internet feed of this part of the process will be restricted to audio. Internet viewers will be able to give a "thumbs up or down" to each candidate. Producers will consider that feedback when making their final selections.
The show's creators have said they are looking for people age 20 to 35 who have never been publicly naked before. No network has signed on to air the episodes, but producers say some have expressed interest.
Once filming begins, the cast must remain nude the entire month, but crews will shoot creatively and blur private body parts before the programs air.
Caliente vice president Debbie Bowen said she is excited about the casting and has already hired extra security to keep away uninvited sightseers and unauthorized media.
"This will be a very controlled environment and we want to make sure no nudity images are released from the resort," Bowen said in a news release. During the auditions, the resort will be sealed off from the public. (tampabay.com)
