Aurangabad, Oct 9 (PTI) In a day of high drama, Maoists today kidnapped RJD MLA Mohammad Nehaluddin, his bodyguard and 12 others after torching his vehicle in this Bihar district but released them a few hours later. Over 100 Maoists surrounded the vehicle of Nehaluddin, who is seeking another term from Rafiganj, and took him hostage when he was campaigning at Laltenganj village, SP Vivek Raj Singh told PTI. They damaged and torched his vehicle and took him away, he said.
A few hours later, the ultras left them at a place in the forests from where Nehaluddin, along with others, walked down to Laltenganj village, the spot where from they were kidnapped, Singh said. The Maoists have given a call for boycott of the assembly elections in Bihar.
The Rafiganj Assembly constituency will go to poll in the final phase on November 20.

Gadchiroli:  Two students of a tribal school, aged 10 and 11 years old, are the latest victims of Naxal violence. They were killed in crossfire during an encounter between the Naxals and the security forces that began on Friday afternoon on the outskirts of Savargaon village at Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border.

Ten more students lie injured in the hospital. Naxals killed three security men in the encounter.

The head master of the school has told the police that a grenade landed in a classroom killing two students, a woman employee and a villager.

This attack comes within days of a Naxal landmine blast in nearby Perimili in which four policemen were killed.
