Teacher thrashed for allegedly using obscene language in class

AHMEDABAD: A higher secondary school teacher was beaten up by parents outside a school near Ramnagar in Sabarmati on Tuesday when some of the girls complained to their parents about lewd talks. RB Yadav, the accused, was later arrested by Sabarmati police station officials after a complaint by a parent.

According to Sabarmati police station officials, a group of around 200 persons gathered outside Dharmnagar Hindi High School and brought Yadav, a Hindi teacher in higher secondary classes, out. He was then beaten up by. Police reached the spot and dispersed the crowd after a mild lathicharge and took Yadav in their custody.

"We have received a complaint from Dhanpatgiri Goswami, living near Power House in Sabarmati, that his daughter, a student at the school, had repeatedly told him that Yadav was using obscene words and had even tried to embrace some of the girls. We have taken a collective complaint and arrested him. Further investigation is on in the matter," said RC Chaudhari, inspector of Sabarmati police station.

According to officials, the complaint has mentioned that he used to cite examples of sex out of context, elaborate on terms like castration and had even bragged about his multiple relationships with his students in front of the class. When girls got uncomfortable, he would tell them that those were important things they should know and not be ashamed of.

When contacted, school authorities denied the whole incident and said that they would launch an inquiry against Yadav if needed.
