A MUM who held her toddler son under scalding water because he soiled his nappy was sentenced today to the maximum 15 years in prison - as a judge called her "the mother from hell".
Regina Cooper calmly walked into courtroom showing no sign of remorse as she was forced to hear letters from her two older children and the kids' father, Ronny Owens.
"Dear (Mum): I'm mad at you," Cooper's nine-year-old daughter, Rasheeda, wrote in a brief note.
The girl's little brother - Cooper's son, three-year-old Barkim Owens - had to learn how to walk again after 20 percent of his body was severely burned in the bathtub horror in January.
"Unfortunately, Regina, you are the mother from hell," blasted Judge Richard Buchtner, noting that details of the horrific crime were enough to "even make a grown man cry".
Cooper, 31, had pleaded guilty in the case.
While in prison, she will have to undergo psychiatric counseling and will be on suicide watch.
"Good, rot in hell!" Ronny Owens tearfully bellowed as he exited the courtroom.
