President Obama in India.

No snarls in skies over Capital as Air Force One touches down

Us President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama landed on runway 28-10 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 3.22 pm on Sunday, exactly 20 minutes after the decoy Air Force One touched down here. About 40 minutes before the Obamas landed at the Air Force technical area in Palam, two Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft of the US Air Force arrived here.
Runway 28 is the closest to the Air Force technical area, which was opened recently after undergoing renovation for six months. The Delhi Airport saw unprecedented security cover with the arrival of the Obamas, even as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Garcharan Kaur reached the airport to receive the guests.
“Normal flight schedules were not hampered by the VVIP movement at the airport, even though Runway 28 was shut for normal flight operations for about 40 minutes. The usual VVIP protocol of closing the airspace for nine minutes during the landing was followed,” an airport source said.
Normal scheduled flights operated from Runway 29-11 even during the gap between the landing of the Air Force One and its decoy aircraft, sources said. While the parked aircraft are guarded by the US Marine Corps, one of the two C-17s has been parked at the IGI Airport — the outer cordon provided by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The other three are being cordoned externally by the Delhi Police at the Air Force technical area, sources said. (indian express)
