We need not remain very afraid of superbugs now! The problem has finally reached a solution. British scientists attained a feat by developing a drug which can kill dangerous superbugs like MRSA and C-diff. they have named the drug as XF-73.
MRSA or Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus is responsible for a number of difficult to treat infections in humans. C-diff is the acronym for the menacing bacterium Clostridium difficile that causes intestinal problems and diarrhoea.
Superbugs NDM-1 bacteria was a very serious threat for people since the MRSA and C-diff was easily acquired by humans after treatment in hospitals. The British team which created the new drug says that the new drug can eradicate the superbugs within five minutes. It ensures that since the superbug is rendered ineffective within five minutes, it does not have a chance to act upon humans.
News collected from reports confirms that XF-73 could be used to prevent infections within a short number of days. XF- 73 works differently from others since it breaks down cell walls and causes a rapid loss of water content. During medical tests, it was seen that carriers of superbug bacteria had XF-73 gel placed inside their noses. The superbugs were removed completely with no side-effects. The MRSA was exposed to 55 repeated exposures and still it did not show any resistance to the new drug.

XF-73 is an anti-microbial which works via weakening bacteria cell walls.[1] Supposedly it is a breakthrough treatment for the hospital superbug MRSA and possibly C diff. It is being developed by Destiny Pharma Ltd.[2][3][4]
It has completed a phase I clinical trial for nasal decolonisation of MRSA - being tested against 5 bacterial strains. It seems unlikely to cause MRSA to develop resistance to it.[5][1]
