The entire premise of teasing the present love of your life is to draw more attention to yourself; and you accomplish this by appearing to be more attentive, sensitive and concerned for her. If you’re able to get her attention and her curiosity piqued, then you have mastered the art of teasing, and you will reap the benefits of your cunning wit and creative pursuit. 1. The Gift That Keeps on Giving - By now you’re an expert as to what your girlfriend likes and dislikes with regards to gifts. What you need to do is to set the bar a little lower for her, perhaps highlighting some level of vanity or ego she might possess.  In short, you may want to ‘bring her back to earth’.  A nice bouquet of dandelions, clover, or ragweed would be an excellent start. You, of course will need to present such a gift with utmost sincerity and naturalistic intent: “I’m as wild about you as these are wild on my Dad’s lawn.”  She’ll melt with the gesture.
2. The Gift That Never Gets Given - Take a quiet moment with her to let her know of all the things that you thought about giving her but, somehow, decided against it. You shouldn’t make this an economic argument like, that you couldn’t afford it; but, much the opposite–that you could afford it, but you simply thought the wiser of it.
3. Timing is the Essence - Make a date with your girl on a day that you have knowledge that she’s busy prior to date time.  Then, show-up to her place two hours ahead of the date time. Knowing she won’t be there, leave her a note (or telephone message) stating that the anticipation was too great and you had hoped that she’d be there for you. Make sure that you become unavailable at the agreed upon time and/or state that you’re too heartbroken to go out.
4. Take Charge! - When you take her out on a dinner date, insist on ordering on her behalf–she’ll be thrilled at the prospect. At time of order, make sure to order hers’ from the Children’s Menu or just a ‘house’ salad. Reassure her that you have her best interest in mind.
5. Take Notice - Assuming that you’ve been together for awhile, you’ve probably seen her entire wardrobe again and again. As each outfit starts repeating itself, make sure to ask if it’s new. Don’t comment that it looks nice or fitting, just inquire as to whether, or not, it’s new.
6. Design a Girlfriend - Ask her, given her keen insights and awareness of you, what attributes that she doesn’t have that you, being the wonderful guy you are, shouldn’t be without. Feel free to offer examples of mutual or envied friends.
7. ‘Bob’ Doesn’t Like You - Whether his name is ‘Bob’, or not, let her know that your best male friend really doesn’t like her or ‘them’, as a couple. You need to claim a general ignorance as to why he doesn’t; but add that it has something to do with her former boyfriend.
8. The Errant Text - Create an e-mail or text message to your best male friend. In this message state how you have a big date/surprise planned for your girlfriend and that she is going to be totally blown away; be certain to give a day and time. However, don’t send the message to your male friend, send it to your girlfriend ‘by mistake’. Then, don’t ever make that date with her and make sure you have other obligations to tend to on that ‘special’ night.
9. Wrong Size? - Buy your girlfriend a novelty T-shirt–perhaps one of her favorite band. While choosing this gift, make sure that it’s at least 3 sizes too big. When you give it to her, coyly admit that you were worried it was going to be too tight…and that you’re happy it isn’t.
10. Name Tag - The last clever trick that’ll be sure to get her attention is to casually forget her name. Begin addressing her with a similar sounding name, but not quite her name. Don’t do this on every occasion; just let it slip-out differently now and then. If she becomes irate with your constant forgetfulness, suggest wearing name tags.
