Pakistan President's security officer escapes attack

President Zardari's chief security officer attacked by armed men in Firdous Colony.
President Asif Ali Zardari’s Chief Security Officer Bilal Sheikh escaped an armed attack at his vehicle in Karachi on Sunday.
According to the police, around five people opened fire at Sheikh’s vehicle in Firdous Colony and also hurled hand grenades. The attackers abandoned their vehicle at the spot and fled when the security forces fired back at them.
Two policemen and a bodyguard were injured in the attack.
Police recovered one rocket launcher, hand grenades and ammunition from the abandoned vehicle.
According to initial investigation, the attackers belong to the Lyari gang.
