Authorities in Pakistan say gunmen have killed seven Shi'ite Muslims in the country's northwest tribal region.
The victims, including several members of a family, were traveling in the Kurram tribal agency Thursday when their vehicle was ambushed.
While no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, local officials say they suspect it was a sectarian attack targeting Pakistan's Shi'ite minority.
On Wednesday, 10 people were killed in Quetta, the capital of the southwestern Pakistani province of Baluchistan, when a suspected suicide car bomber struck as hundreds of people were leaving a Shi'ite mosque.
The bombing coincided with the start of Eid al-Fitr, the three-day Muslim festival celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
