LONDON: BBC TV will broadcast the second part of its investigative documentary series entitled "Secret Pakistan" on November 2. Called Backlash and filmed mostly in Pakistan and Afghanistan , the documentary will expose Pakistan's link toTaliban and al-Qaida and how Islamabaddeceived the US, UK and the West.
Backlash will reveal how the US and Britain discovered evidence that they had been doubled crossed by Pakistan, a BBC statement said, adding, "It tells the story of how under President (Barack) Obama the US has waged a secret war against Pakistan."
"Taliban commanders tell the filmmakers that to this day Pakistan shelters and arms them and helps them kill Western troops - indeed one recently captured suicide bomber alleges he was trained by Pakistani intelligence," the statement said.
The programme will also make the claim "that Pakistan intelligence stands accused of sabotaging possible peace talks (between the Afghanistan government and the Taliban )". If part one of the series - Double Cross - is any indication , the documentary has been made with the tacit cooperation of the British and US governments, with CIA, MI6, military officers wheeled out for "sound-bites" .
