Suicide bomber kills militant fighter

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- A suicide attack on a car killed a senior police official, Ajmer Shah, and his aide Friday in Nowshera, a city in northwest Pakistan, Israrudin a senior police official who uses one name told CNN.
Shah was receiving threats from militants and had been provided special security protocol to ensure his safety, said another senior police official Sherzada, who also goes by one name.
Sherzada said that Ajmer Shah was "dedicated to arresting militants".
The suicide bomber walked up to the car and detonated himself killing Shah and one more officer, according to Israruddin.
Another officer and civilian were also injured in the blast and have been taken to the hospital said Muhammad Hussain, a police official from the area.
The attack happened about three kilometers from an air force academy in Risalpur, where a bomb blast at a restaurant left 11 dead in August.
The last suicide attack in Pakistan took place six weeks ago in Karachi, also targeting a senior police official killing  eight people including a mother and child.
