Massive fire in refinery in Assam, ULFA claims responsibility

The Paresh Baruah faction of United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) has claimed responsibility for the explosion at Guwahati Refinery on Tuesday.
"We triggered the blast. The attack was part of our routine exercises against exploitation by India," ULFA Publicity Secretary Arunadoy Dehotia said in an email statement.
Refinery authorities said there was an explosion followed by fire in one of the slop tanks inside the refinery.
“The fire has been extinguished. Some people sustained minor injuries,” refinery spokesperson Chandrima Sarma told DNA. “The cause of the fire was subject to investigation,” she added.
