Pakistan protests halt NATO supplies

=============================================================
Pakistan has suspended its supply route to NATO troops in Afghanistan because of a protest led by political leader and former Test cricketer Imran Khan.
Khan says the US is losing the war in Afghanistan and should stop using missile strikes to target suspected insurgent bases in Pakistan.
His political party, the Movement for Justice, is urging thousands of people to join the sit-in against the missile strikes at the north-western city of Peshawar.
The protest has forced Pakistani officials to suspend the NATO supply route along the main road to the border for three days.
The US uses unmanned aircraft to strike suspected insurgent hide-outs in Pakistan's tribal areas, but dozens of civilians have also been killed.
