Herbal remedies could be the next antibiotic.

Researchers in India tested extracts from different plants on cancer patients...

And found a number of them, including wild asparagus, desert date and caster oil were able to reduce bacterial infection.

Doctors say the findings are a starting point for new plant-based medicines that can be developed to fight bacteria that become resistant to antibiotics.
