QUETTA: At least four people, including three children, were killed and nine others, among them two women and six minors, sustained injuries when three mud houses collapsed due to an explosion in Chaman, a township which shares its border with Afghanistan, in the early hours of Thursday. 

The incident took place in Killi Mohammad Rasool on the Pakistan side of the border, about 2 kilometres away from the Afghan border. Deputy Commissioner Abdul Fateh Bhangar said that it seemed that explosive material was already concealed inside one of the houses, which went off. Three houses collapsed due to the explosion which resulted in the death of four people while leaving ten others injured. Investigation into the incident is underway. staff report
