The 22-member troupe was on its way to Keylong for participating in a tribal fair scheduled to start from Sunday. Superintendent of Police Bimal Gupta said of the 15 people who died, seven were women. Rescue operations were hampered due to snowfall and heavy rains, he said.
"We used long ropes to enable the rescue teams to reach the exact location. Inclement weather with biting cold winds in the valley made rescue tough," Gupta said.
