Rulers, Crown Princes join thousands in Eid prayers

ABU DHABI - Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates and Crown Princes joined hundreds of thousands of Muslims across the country in performing Eid Al Fitr prayers on Tuesday morning.
.Their Highnesses Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Quwain and Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman performed the prayers in their respective emirates.
ABU DHABI: General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered Eid prayers at Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Joining him were Shaikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Surur bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works; Shaikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority; Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; other Shaikhs, ministers, senior civil and military officials, members of diplomats corps, and a group of worshippers.
Ali Al Hashimi, Judicial and Religious Affairs Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, delivered the Eid sermon in which he highlighted the importance of Eid day on which Muslims thanked Allah. He stressed the noble themes of the holy month of Ramadan.
He prayed to Allah to bless the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates. Al Hashimi also prayed for the souls of the late Shaikh Zayed, Shaikh Rashid and other late UAE shaikhs.After the prayer, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed and shaikhs visited and read Al Fateha over the tomb of Shaikh Zayed.
DUBAI: Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, performed Eid prayers at Eid grand site in Bur Dubai along with Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Authority for Culture and Arts; Shaikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; other Shaikhs and worshippers.
Imam and preacher Al Sheikh Omer Al Khateeb stressed in his Eid sermon the gratitude of a worshiper to Allah the Creator and His numerous endowments on human beings.
He added that Eid day is the day of visiting the relatives and solidarity among Muslims. Al Khateeb prayed for Allah to bless the UAE leadership. He also prayed for the souls of the late Shaikh Zayed and Shaikh Rashid.
SHARJAH: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Seaports and Customs; Shaikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation; Shaikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf; other Shaikhs and senior officials performed prayers alongside Dr Shaikh Sultan in Al Badea prayer site in Sharjah city.
Al Sheikh Yusuf Hassan Al Hamadi, head of the preaching section at Awqaf in Sharjah, outlined in his Eid sermon the valuable themes of the holy month of Ramadan and joy of every Muslim on the advent of Eid Al Fitr, referring to the virtuous teachings of Islam.
Al Hamadi congratulated and wished well for the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses, Members of Supreme Council and Rulers of emirates, other Shaikhs and Muslims nationwide, on the advent of Eid.
After the prayer, the Sharjah Ruler exchanged the greetings with the Shaikhs, senior officials, dignitaries, citizens and residents.
RAS AL KHAIMAH: Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah; Shaikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi; Shaikh Omer bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Board Chairman of RAK Aviation Company; Shaikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Finance and Chairman of the RAK Free Trade Zone; Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Ports and Customs; Shaikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the RAK Department of Civil Aviation; a number of Shaikhs and a group of worshippers offered prayers alongside Shaikh Saud at Eid grand site in Khuzam.
Al Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi stressed in his Eid sermon the significance of this day in visiting the relatives and solidarity among people in the light of the Holy Quran and Course of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He highlighted the reward and valuable themes of the holy month of Ramadan.
After the prayer, the RAK Ruler exchanged Eid greetings with Shaikhs, senior officials and worshippers.
FUJAIRAH: Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; Shaikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Head of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah; Shaikh Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Information Authority; Shaikh Maktoum bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi; Shaikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Free Trade Zone in Fujairah; other Shaikhs, senior officials and hundreds of worshippers, offered the prayers alongside Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed at Eid grand prayer site in downtown Fujairah.
Al Sheikh Hamad Salem Al Kindi, preacher at the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Fujairah, congratulated the worshippers on the advent of Eid Al Fitr, stressing the reward and noble themes of the holy month of Ramadan. He called for solidarity among Muslims. Al Kindi wished well for the UAE leadership.
UMM AL QUWAIN: Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain; Shaikh Humaid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chief of Emiri Court; Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Department of Museums; Shaikh Saif bin Rashid Al Mualla, Head of the Department of Economic Development; other Shaikhs and hundreds of worshippers offered prayers alongside Shaikh Saud bin Rashid at Shaikh Zayed Mosque in Umm Al Quwain.
Al Sheikh Ibrahim Al Mansouri, who delivered the Eid sermon, stressed the significance of this day in visiting the relatives and cherishing the themes of solidarity. He noted that the holy month of Ramadan has inculcated in Muslims good manners, respect for parents and neighbours, and solidarity among people.
Al Mansouri prayed for Allah to bless the UAE leadership.
After the prayer, the UAQ Ruler exchanged greetings with Shaikhs, senior officials and citizens.
AJMAN: Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; Shaikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Economic Department; Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department; other Shaikhs and hundreds of worshippers offered prayers alongside Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid at Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Mosque.
Al Sheikh Hussein Moueen Al Hosani, Director of the Islamic Institute in Ajman, who delivered the Eid sermon, congratulated Muslims on the advent of Eid. He elaborated the themes of Eid Al Fitr, which strengthen the social ties and solidarity among people. He called on Allah to bless Shaikh Khalifa and Their Highnesses, Members of Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates, and guide them in service of Islam.
After the prayer, the Ruler of Ajman exchanged Eid greetings with Shaikhs, senior officials, dignitaries, citizens and residents.
After the Eid prayers, the faithful embraced each other, exchanged greetings and renewed solidarity.
Families filed out on to the streets and parks, with children visiting nearby houses exchanging sweets and elders presenting gifts to the small ones
