Nude Tourism: Florida County Undresses For European Tourists

You've heard of snowbirds, but what about Eurobirds? One Florida county hopes to bring in seasonal European tourists (Eurobirds) to enjoy it's particular climate of nudism.
Pasco County, north of the Tampa area on Florida's west coast, is home to six nudists resorts and more than a dozen clothing-free communities.
According to Tampa Bay Online, city commissioners voted 4-1 Tuesday to allot a $3,818 grant toward the promotion of a "Eurobird" season. It is hoped that this will attract nudist visitors from Europe during slow summer months.
"We will be focusing on France, Germany, Netherlands, and Britain. There are over 19 million practicing nudists in there. So heck if we just garner a hundredths of one percent, that's a lot of tourism coming in," Paul Brenot, president of nudist lifestyle group Panda-Bare, told ABC Action News.
The marketing campaign will include placing advertisements in publications that cater to the clothing-optional set, such as "Internaturally."
