The Very Best of YouTube in 2011 [VIDEOS]

Christina Warren: 8-year-old Sophia Grace doing the most amazing cover of "Super Bass" that the world has ever seen. A half-pint rapping powerhouse who is not only cute, but is GOOD.
Todd Wasserman: This video always cracks me up. Everything goes wrong on an Australian morning show.
Kate Freeman: The horror that is Toddlers & Tiaras: Hairspray
Samantha Murphy: I love this clip of a baby pinching a printed magazine as though it's an iPad. It just reinforces how kids are being exposed to cutting-edge tech at such a young age, and how that will influence the way they see the world as they grow up.
Sam Laird: This video fascinated me when I first watched it in October. To most of us who aren't babies, iPads, touch screens and other still-developing forms of information delivery are still naturally compared in our minds to magazines, books and newspapers. But to this baby -- and presumably millions, if not billions, more just like her -- information that doesn't come in digital form is the more foreign (and confusing) concept.
Brian Anthony Hernandez: What happens when you put a pint-sized YouTube sensation, rap star Nicki Minaj and talk show host Ellen Degeneres in the same room? THIS: the most smile-inducing video of 2011, starring 8-year-old British girl Sophia Grace Brownlee, who gained YouTube fame after performing a fierce a cappella version of Minaj’s “Super Bass.” Damn, I wish YouTube was around when I was younger.
Jennifer Diamond: NoNoNoNoNoNo
Alex Fitzpatrick: As a pilot and geek for all things aeronautics, I loved this video shot of Endeavour's final launch as seen from a nearby commercial airliner. It gives a unique angle to show how amazing it is that we can successfully launch human beings to outer space, which is still mind-bogglingly crazy to me.
Keith Kaplan: I thought this trailer for a snowboarding documentary was epic. It looks great in HD!
Christine Erickson: This one's my pick because I moved to New York this year, and it makes me want to keep making new memories and try new things.
Sarah Kessler: All that is wrong with the Internet in one clever two-minute spoof. The best part is that you can actually download the app. Because everything you do is exciting. To everyone.
Emily Banks: Babies laughing and making hysterical faces never get old.
Here at Mashable, we love YouTube videos. We love YouTube videos so much that we bring you one every day in our YouTube Video of the Day series. Instead of just bringing you one video today, we decided to look back on a wild year of widely viewed uploads.
In honor of the end of the year of Rebecca Black, our staff rounded up some of our favorite viral videos of this year. Although none of us selected the auto-tune viral hit, you will find two cameos by Sophia Grace Brownlee, some cute babies and, of course, a cat.
What was your favorite YouTube video of 2011? Let us know in the comments.
