Warsaw - Three members of Russia's special anti-terror police unit OMON have been arrested after being caught drawing cash using a credit card of one of the victims of the Polish plane crash (which killed Polish President Lech Kaczysnski his wife Maria and 94 others) in Belarus two months ago, officials said Sunday.
Polish government spokesman Pavel Gras was cited by the PAP press agency as praising the good cooperation between Polish and Russian secret services in clearing up the 'shameful act.'
Apparently after the April 10 crash near Smolensk which killed Polish President Lech Kaczysnski his wife Maria and 94 others in the country's delegation, the OMON policemen found the credit card of cabinet minister Adrzej Przewoznik.
They then used the card to draw 6,000 zlotys (1,750 dollars) from his account.
Disclosure of the case comes amid repeated Polish media criticism suggesting that the crash site was insufficiently sealed off and guarded.
