After being separated for 30 years, a brother and sister were reunited on a blind date. Can you say AWKWARD? Sarah Kemp and George Bentley met on a dating site called “ForgetDinner.co.uk.” The pair instantly hit it off together and corresponded through email for several months. Since Sarah lives in Scotland and George is from London, the pair did not choose to get together and get serious until they were sure a relationship could work. At long last, the would-be couple went out on a date at the White Horse, George’s favorite pub. After about an hour of small talk, the duo came to a shocking realization - they weren’t soulmates...they were actually long-lost siblings!
The fact that over 30 years had passed and they no longer shared a last name makes this an honest but hilarious mistake. However, it is rather strange that no clues surfaced after months of romantic courtship and correspondence! George and Sarah Bentley had grown up together, but in 1975, when George was 11 years old and Sarah only 6, their parents got a divorce. Sarah and her mother Felicity moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, while David and George Bentley stayed in London. In 1989, Sarah got married and decided to keep her her ex-husband’s last name when they divorced a year later, which made George’s future search for his sister impossible!
