We always rejoice a love hate relationship with caravans. But how about a carbon neutral micro caravan, which can hold your weekly shop inside a super market? Yes, I am talking about the new mini camper QTvan, which is said to be the world’s smallest carbon neutral caravan.
Being carbon neutral means removing as much carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as we put in. Keeping this in mind, the Environmental Transport Association developed this small carbon neutral caravan.
The man behind the caravan, Yannick Read was quoted as saying:
An increasing number of people rely on mobility scooters but if you develop a fault or run out of battery power and don’t have breakdown cover, or a tiny caravan in tow, your only options are to push something that weighs the equivalent of two men home or call a relative with a large car.The British love queuing, tea and caravans; and that is where the name came from - QTvan. If you look at the features, you will see that it has a bed, kettle, TV, and a radio alarm clock. Just make it a standard mobility scooter as well, whenever required.
The price of QTvan is approximately ₤5500. You can order the models from the ETA website. You will also find options of adding accessories like solar panels, satellite dishes and central heating.
