THRILLED Junrey Balawing celebrates his 18th birthday by being crowned the shortest man on the planet yesterday.

Guinness World Records staff noted his 23½inch stature as relatives hoped fame would attract cash-paying visitors to their tiny village Zamboanga del Norte, in the Philippines.
Junrey, who stopped growing aged one, said: “I like beer and I want a beautiful wife. She’ll probably be taller than me.”
