BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) – Two car bombs followed by two suicide explosions against provincial government offices in central Iraq on Tuesday killed seven people and wounded 17 others, a security official said.
The car bombs against the perimeter wall of the Diyala governorate compound opened the way for insurgents to storm the headquarters, followed shortly afterward by twin suicide blasts inside the building, the official at the province's security command centre said.
