Mandela's Way

RICHARD'S BLOG

Mandela's Way

If you are stuck for a good Christmas present, here’s a recommendation from yours truly:Mandela’s Way.
Having revisited this fascinating book recently I was struck by the quality of Richard Stengel’s writing as well as the remarkable story of one the world’s true heroes.
Here are the 15 lessons from Madiba that the book details:
  1. Courage is not the absence of fear.
  2. Be measured.
  3. Lead from the front.
  4. Look the part.
  5. Lead from the back.
  6. See the good in others.
  7. Keep your rivals close.
  8. Have a core principle.
  9. Know when to say no.
  10. Know your enemy.
  11. It’s always both.
  12. Love makes the difference.
  13. It’s a long game.
  14. Quitting is leading too.
  15. Find your own garden
It really is one of the best books I have ever read and sadly has not got the readership it deserves. Are there any great books that you have read that have gone under the radar?
