Suicide Bombers Kill 4 Afghan Security Guards in Kunduz
TEHRAN (FNA)- Three suicide bombers raided a guesthouse frequented by foreigners in the Northern Kunduz province in Afghanistan on Tuesday, killing four Afghan security guards, an Afghan spokesman said.

"Three suicide bombers on a car full of explosives on Tuesday morning attacked the entrance of a guesthouse in Kunduz which hosted foreign nationals," Spokesman of Kunduz Governor's Office Mahboubollah Saeedi told FNA.

Saeedi reiterated that four Afghan security guards were killed and 10 more civilians were injured in the suicide attack.

It was not immediately clear if any foreigners were among the wounded.

According to the Afghan police, the slain Afghan security guards were employed by the German development agency GTZ.

The attacks and assaults against the Afghan police and civilians have suspiciously increased after the US pressures on Kabul to prolong the presence of the US forces in Afghanistan.

A large number of Iranian and regional officials have voiced their strong opposition to any strategic pact between Washington and Kabul on the extension of the US military mission in Afghanistan, warning that deployment of alien troops in a regional country would pose a serious threat to the entire world security.

"Endorsement of this deal not only threatens the regional countries but also is dangerous for the global security," Head of the Afghanistan Headquarters at the Iranian Foreign Ministry Mohsen Pak-Ayeen underlined on Sunday.
