Islamabad, March 23 (IANS) A suspected terrorist has been arrested for allegedly planning an attack on the Pakistan parliament during a speech by President Asif Ali Zardari, a media report said Wednesday.
Islamabad police arrested the man a few days ago. He later confessed before police about the plot to attack the parliament building during a joint session of the two houses that was addressed by Zardari Tuesday, Dawn News reported.
Interior Minster Rehman Malik later said security of the capital had been beefed up after getting information of the attack.
