Vasko Taškovski was born on 31 August 1937 in the village of Nižopole, Bitola. In 1958 he completed the Secondary Art School in Skopje. He graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1964. In the period between 1966 and 1991 he worked as a set designer in the Macedonian Television. Apart from paintings in oil, he also works in watercolours and graphics. Occasionally he makes graphic design, too. He has had 40 one-man exhibitions, and has taken part in a lot of group exhibitions in the country and abroad.
