Man Hung From Bridge, Set Afire In Monterrey

MONTERREY, Mexico -- Police say a gang hung a man from an overpass in northern Mexico and set fire to him. It is the same spot where a youth was found last week hung by his hands and with a gunshot wound, but alive.

Highway overpasses in the northern city of Monterrey have seen several gang-related killings this year, including one woman who was hung from a bridge.

Local police said the burned man appeared to have been dead before the gang hung him from the span.

As in last week's incident, Monday's killing was carried out in front of startled motorists on a busy street below.

Drug gangs are believed responsible for previous killings.
