In honor of Natalie Portman's 30th birthday, we decided to explore her evolution from a fresh-faced teen to anA-list mom-to-be. She makes growing up in the public eye seem effortless, excluding some unfortunate purple eye shadow and misguided, gelled curls.

Her physical transformations show that Portman completely commits to her different roles in life: she shaved her head for "V for Vendetta," lost 20 pounds to play a ballerina in "Black Swan" and embraced her currentenvy-inducing glow while pregnant. She's sure to be the chicest mom on the playground or red carpet. Happy birthday!
