It’s extremely important to have goals... to know exactly what you want to achieve or attain in life. But what is equally important, is to know how to get from where you are to where you want to be. Do you know what needs to be done? Have you determined the most enjoyable, most direct route from here to there? What should you be doing right now?

All goals need a plan if they are to be achieved. Planning gives you a road map to follow, and allows you to see your progress along the way. A good plan gets you going in the morning and keeps you motivated throughout the day. So what should you be doing right now? Make a plan.

But a plan is just a piece of paper until it gets put into action. So better yet, make your plan an ACTION PLAN. List all of the steps required to attain your goal. Put them in order – break the big jobs down into smaller tasks - prioritize everything. Which tasks need to be done first? Which tasks are most important? What steps can be repeated every day to keep you moving forward?

An action plan, by its very nature, begets action. By determining all the steps required, you will know exactly what you need to do. Small steps, every day, and you will eventually arrive at your destination.
