Summer Best Skin Care Tips

Summer Best Skin Care Tips

Summer is on the way and everybody’s rushing to have a sun-kissed look, but before that take some minutes and read this. I’m sure this post will help you manage your best skin care for summer.Dermatologist Ivan Singzon said, “Too much sunlight can cause dry skin, photo-damage, sunburn and heat rash or urticaria. Long periods of exposure to the sun, however, may cause skin cancer, which generally develops in the epidermis or the outermost layer of the skin.”
If you don’t want to damage your skin and risk your health, consider the following skin beauty tips for best skin care for summer.
  • Avoid tanning booths:
Summer Best Skin Care TipsMany people who can’t afford a natural tanning on the beach prefer a tanning booth, which gives almost the same sexy chocolate look, but is it safe? I agree that tanning booths emit UVA rays (not UVB rays), which don’t burn the skin. The risks lie in another fact — tanning booths cause dermal damage and contribute to wrinkles and skin cancer. I advise you to use a spray-on tan instead.
  • Making vitamin D:
Some people say they don’t use sunscreens because they prevent the body from making vitamin D. Actually they have no knowledge of vitamins. 10 minutes under the mid-day sun provides the right amount of vitamin D per day. If you need more you can simply take vitamin D supplements or eat foods high in this vitamin (wild salmon, cod liver oil or organic egg yolk).
  • Cosmetics with SPF aren’t enough for summer best skin care:

Makeup cosmetics with SPF aren’t enough for summer skin care, especially if you’re planning to stay outdoors for long. In this case you should apply a sun block cream at least every two hours.
  • Waterproof sunscreens are not enough:
Waterproof sunscreens protect you only while you are in water. Once you are out, you should apply a sunscreen for the best skin care.
  • Avoid being outside from 10am to 3pm:
During these hours the sun is most intense, so avoid being outside or at least lie underneath the shadow of trees or umbrellas. Another option is to wear a wide-brimmed hat (to protect your ears and neck) and sunglasses (to protect the skin around your eyes).
Follow these easy skin beauty tips and enjoy your summer to the full.
